When diet and exercise can’t remove the most stubborn fat, SculpSure™, a breakthrough non-invasive contouring laser device, can target these problem areas without surgery or downtime.
Utilizing patented laser technology, SculpSure™ is a clinically proven and safe treatment designed to reduce fat non-invasively by disrupting subcutaneous fat cells. It is performed in the office and requires no topical anesthesia. Up to four flexible applicators are applied to the skin over the area of stubborn fat. SculpSure™ uses a 1060nm laser to heat up the subcutaneous fat to 45-47 degrees celsius in the desired area for about 25 minutes. The areas are intermittently cooled making the treatment very comfortable. This sets up a condition to kill fat cells, which are naturally eliminated from your body over 6 - 12 weeks. The laser energy of the SculpSure™ device also increases collagen and elastin, both needed for more youthful, firmer and healthier skin.
SculpSure is intended for Scottsdale non-surgical liposuction patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or less. Ideal candidates for SculpSure™ should be within 10-20 pounds of their proper weight and want to target fat that is diet and exercise resistant. SculpSure™ treatments result in a noticeable fat reduction in the treated areas. Abstracts presented at the 2015 American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Annual Conference featured clinical data from approximately 100 subjects treated with SculpSure in multi-center studies at two U.S. sites. Researchers saw statistically significant reduction in adipose layer thickness (about 20-25%), six and 12 weeks post-treatment with a 90% patient satisfaction after one treatment. Studies show that the treatment removes about 20-25% of the fat in the treated areas. For many patients, that is enough fat reduction. Some patients will wish to undergo a second procedure to remove additional fat.
